Live performance instrument—openFrameworks, Metal, on-device speech recognition

glossamurmur is a custom application that generates a reactive visual environment out of the poetic voice, in real time. Developed collaboratively with Mexican poet Zazil Alaíde Collins, the instrument responds to semantic and sonic expression across three modes: an ASCII typography field where spoken Spanish surfaces as English text, a grayscale rectilinear geometry that multiplies language kaleidoscopically, and a 50,000-particle murmuration driven by voice and ended by a breath blown into the microphone. Nothing is touched or cued by hand during a performance; the work is driven entirely by voice and sound.
